Beth & Ty in Love

We spent a lot of time making sure that this was the right decision. After hours spent shooting, working, editing, emailing, and meeting with clients separately, we decided it made more sense for us to be together. To work together. To become one vision, one company, one team of photographers. I almost want to break out into song with "When Two Become One" by the Spice Girls, but for your sake I'll refrain :)

Ty and I are ready to take on a big venture together. To begin Beth and Ty In Love. It just makes sense. Together, as a team, we make sense.

What does this mean for current or past 'Elizabeth In Love' brides? Anyone who has currently booked with me, or us, will be getting an email explaining all of the changes that we have in store for you. They are great changes, ones which we know you'll be excited about. We cannot wait to roll them out!

Take a peak over at Ty's blog here to see his perspective on the new brand.  I will continue to post some new weddings and content on this blog while we wait to launch the new website, so don't leave me just yet :)

For those of you who know me, you know of my love for beautiful feminine portraits and all things girly. I want to express myself in this area as it's something I've neglected on my blog since weddings became my everyday life. Even though 'Elizabeth In Love' will redirect to 'Beth and Ty in Love' very shortly, that doesn't mean that my previous brand will be no more. I will be creating a new version of 'Elizabeth In Love'. A version which will focus on my fashion, boudoir, and personal work. My heart is all aflutter just thinking about it :) I have so much I want to shoot and share!

With that said, I am thrilled to link you to our new website, www.bethandty.com, and I hope that you'll follow along with us on this amazing new adventure and love it as much as we do.

Thank you always for your continued support. I feel like I am living in a dream and I am grateful every single day to be doing what I love, with the person I love.

Breanne's Travel Themed Bridal Shower, Hamilton

It's been quite some time since I've been able to blog regularly but I want to assure you that's going to change very shortly! To be honest, it's been the busiest summer of shooting that I've had yet, and I have so many posts that I am dying to share. I wish I had more time in the day! There has also been lots happening behind the scenes as in December I have a huge announcement to make! It's kind of crazy and ridiculous and a super big step for me! I'll let you in on the secret soon, promise :)

In the meantime I wanted to blog a beautiful bridal shower that I shot this passed summer. Since I am off to the Dominican next week for my last wedding of the year, I thought this post was only fitting. I wanted to celebrate the end of the shooting season with Breanne's travel themed bridal shower. I thought this shower was adorable and I loved that Breanne made sure every last detail was perfect. I'm not surprised - the girl has amazing taste! I kept finding new things to photograph throughout the room the entire night. Breanne loves to travel and wanted to pick a theme that truly represented who she is. Oh and the crepes to end the evening? Quite possibly the best shower idea ever! I could certainly go for one of those right now...

Enjoy some of the photos from Breanne's special day :)PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobuckettravel tickets for each guest at the table :)PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketthe girls put together an adorable video for Breanne...PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketthe crepe station!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Megan + Colin - Southbrook Vineyards, Niagara-On-The-Lake Wedding

She spent the morning getting ready with her best girlfriends. Her mom, certainly labelled under that same category. Megan helped her mom slip into her beautiful gown before getting herself ready. Because for Megan, it was a day for her mom just as much as it was a day for her. A day to celebrate together. Megan, an only child growing up, was preparing to marry her soul mate and having her mom by her side made it that much sweeter. She got ready in their family Bed and Breakfast and as her last white button was fastened, emotions ran wild.

Colin waited at the end of the aisle in a gazebo by the lake. With it's peaceful waters just behind them and a bag pipe to walk them in, his eyes met with hers. As they filled with tears, Megan walked closer towards him, her eyes revealing the same.  The ceremony was intimate and emotional and completely perfect for them. I don't think a single guest had a dry eye.

We took photos on Megan's families property and the reception was held in a beautiful white tent with suble peach and white details (swoon!) at Southbrook Vineyards. Megan and Colin, thank you for having me as your photographer and friend on your most special day... I too, cried a little. Okay, maybe a lot :)

Enjoy some of my favourite photos from the day!

These girls were pretty special! Loved this moment my second shooter Jenn caught with Colin and his parents...so sweet!Onto the gorgeous details...After Megan's speech she wanted to honour her mother by giving her her bouquet. Loved this!xo

Tanya + Noah - Kensington Market, Toronto Engagement

They met at a hip hop club. She was there photographing an event and he was there battling. Tanya approached Noah (or as most know him, Soul Khan) after the show to let him know that she was a big fan of his music. It was her love for music in general that first peeked Noah's interest. And maybe the fact that she is stunning played a small part :) The event continued and at the end of it, Tanya felt brave and insisted Mr Soul Khan himself, come out for drinks with her and her friends. Noah was from out of town so of course Tanya needed to make sure he felt included ;) They found themselves paying no attention to the friends they went out with, and instead, locked on one another. Tanya felt like she had just made an amazing friend, Noah, on the other hand, was already falling for her.

The next few months were spent exchanging tweets and texts but due to their distance, they unfortunately couldn't get together whenever they wanted. Noah came back to Toronto for another hip hop event and spent the entire weekend with Tanya. She told him that she didn't want a relationship and mentioned she liked him, but again, only as friends.  It wasn't until he left for home, and after all of their late night chats together, that she too was smitten. They became inseparable and have visited one another at least once a month to make it work. Thirteen hour bus rides, last minute plane rides, and many, many Skype dates. They did anything it took to be together. And it's worked. Tanya and Noah are engaged to be married and I've never met a girl so excited!

Their relationship is just "right" and you can feel that when you're with them. I went to school with Tanya and I am so happy she's found the man of her dreams. I am honoured and can't wait to document their wedding next year - it's going to be one heck of a party!

Enjoy some of my favourite photos from our session :)
