Courtney + Eric - Knollwood Golf and Country Club, Ancaster Wedding

It was elementary school when they met. Courtney had a secret crush on Eric, but at the time, couldn't tell him how she felt. Ya know, being in elementary school and all. So she kept the secret to herself. Her sister Kara told me stories of how Courtney would write about Eric in her diary. If only someone could have told that adorable girl with strawberry blonde hair that the boy she spent her time writing about would later become her husband. I bet she would have thought that sounded too good to be true. But at 18, Eric and Courtney began dating and 6 years later, they vowed to spend their lives together as husband and wife. I'm a little jealous that the boys I wrote about in my diary (Justin Timberlake I still love you!) didn't feel the same. My story didn't quite come together quite as nicely as Courtney's did ;)

Their wedding took place on the beautiful grounds of Knollwood Golf and Country Club and they were given the most gorgeous and warm, summer day. Having known Courtney for a few years through her sister, Kara, I was eager and excited to photograph her big day. I absolutely love their family and with Courtney being the last of the Lodder girls to be married, I knew it would be quite the celebration. Courtney and Eric, I am honoured that I was a part of your day and wish you both all the love in the world!

Enjoy some of my favourites from their day...

Courtney's excitement was adorable! Love her :) just gorgeous.....I absolutely love first looks. It's a chance for the bride and groom to share a special moment before the ceremony and spend time with their guests after instead of leaving them for photos. Perfect! Ty took this rad shot of the boys - love working with him!! I love how Eric kept peeking over at Courtney during the ceremony....I'll end with my favourite shot :)

Ashley + Dallas - Art Gallery of Hamilton Wedding

She spent the morning taking it all in and relaxing with her best girlfriends and family. The house was calm, the champagne was flowing, and the girls were giddy. It was Ashley's wedding day. The day she had been waiting for, dreaming about, pinning for (of course I follow her boards), and now it was finally here. It was the day she would marry Dallas. Her love. Her best friend. Rain or shine (and lucky for them it was mostly shine) - it didn't matter. She was happy. Ashley glowed. Scratch that. Ashley beamed.

After all of the hard work, the planning (special thanks to my favourite, Rhiannon of Hey Gorgeous for her hard work), and the designs (Ashley is SO talented and designed all of her paper products herself) - it was all worth it. Ashley and Dallas' wedding was stunning. I mean, ridiculously pretty! As I walked into the venue I had to pinch myself. Due to the fact it was calling for rain, they decided to have their ceremony inside, and truthfully, I think it was meant to be. Massive black and white balloons lined the Art Gallery of Hamilton's ceiling. The white, soft pink, and grey decor with pops of black, made a bold and beautiful statement. Rhi and Ashley were a dream team and the day came together better than I could have imagined. Not only was the decor beautiful but so was the wedding and the people who said "I do." Dallas and Ashley spoke about one another during the reception and left the room in tears. Happy tears.

I am so honoured to have been a part of such a magical day and can't wait to share with you some of the photos...

So here goes.....

Thanks to Sticks and Stems for Ashley's gorgeous florals throughout the wedding day! Ashley's flawless makeup was done by Cait Mizzi. Thanks to my second shooter Richelle for photographing the boys in the morning! Their first look was ADORABLE. I love that we were able to capture these reactions and give them a few moments to themselves before the wedding ceremony commenced. Perfect.Jocelyn from Sugarbelle Cakes made this amazing cake!

Breanne's Travel Themed Bridal Shower, Hamilton

It's been quite some time since I've been able to blog regularly but I want to assure you that's going to change very shortly! To be honest, it's been the busiest summer of shooting that I've had yet, and I have so many posts that I am dying to share. I wish I had more time in the day! There has also been lots happening behind the scenes as in December I have a huge announcement to make! It's kind of crazy and ridiculous and a super big step for me! I'll let you in on the secret soon, promise :)

In the meantime I wanted to blog a beautiful bridal shower that I shot this passed summer. Since I am off to the Dominican next week for my last wedding of the year, I thought this post was only fitting. I wanted to celebrate the end of the shooting season with Breanne's travel themed bridal shower. I thought this shower was adorable and I loved that Breanne made sure every last detail was perfect. I'm not surprised - the girl has amazing taste! I kept finding new things to photograph throughout the room the entire night. Breanne loves to travel and wanted to pick a theme that truly represented who she is. Oh and the crepes to end the evening? Quite possibly the best shower idea ever! I could certainly go for one of those right now...

Megan + Colin - Southbrook Vineyards, Niagara-On-The-Lake Wedding

She spent the morning getting ready with her best girlfriends. Her mom, certainly labelled under that same category. Megan helped her mom slip into her beautiful gown before getting herself ready. Because for Megan, it was a day for her mom just as much as it was a day for her. A day to celebrate together. Megan, an only child growing up, was preparing to marry her soul mate and having her mom by her side made it that much sweeter. She got ready in their family Bed and Breakfast and as her last white button was fastened, emotions ran wild.

Colin waited at the end of the aisle in a gazebo by the lake. With it's peaceful waters just behind them and a bag pipe to walk them in, his eyes met with hers. As they filled with tears, Megan walked closer towards him, her eyes revealing the same.  The ceremony was intimate and emotional and completely perfect for them. I don't think a single guest had a dry eye.

We took photos on Megan's families property and the reception was held in a beautiful white tent with suble peach and white details (swoon!) at Southbrook Vineyards. Megan and Colin, thank you for having me as your photographer and friend on your most special day... I too, cried a little. Okay, maybe a lot :)

Enjoy some of my favourite photos from the day!

These girls were pretty special! Loved this moment my second shooter Jenn caught with Colin and his sweet!Onto the gorgeous details...After Megan's speech she wanted to honour her mother by giving her her bouquet. Loved this!xo
